- The answer is No, especially after a laser hair removal treatment. This is especially important for any treatments on the face. The sun can cause hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin). This is not permanent but can last up to 6 months before the color of the skin returns to it's natural color. Applying a skin brightening toner will help this process. Additonally, when you darken your skin, laser hair removal is less effective because the color of the skin is the same color as the hair.
Why are my appointments once every 4 to 6 weeks?
- Your appointment must be scheduled once every 4 to 6 weeks because of the hair cycles. You can only kill the hair in its anagen stage (growing stage). In the 4 to 6 weeks in between appointments some of the hairs that are in a catagen stage (transitional stage) or the telogen stage (resting stage) will come back up into the anagen stage (growing stage) in which you can damage the hair and these hairs will exfoliate outside of the body in a 2 to 3 week period after your appointment.
